When you’re in a nomad space, it’s easy to long for the comfort of the familiar, even if it’s clear that God has called you out of the old life for good reason. The discomfort of the wilderness life left the Israelites complaining about their new freedom and nostalgic for their life as slaves. The spiritual work as nomads is to trust that God can see a future that you may or may not yet see. To trust that, step by step, God is moving you into that redeemed future.
