While we hope for the 21st century version of the promised land that God is leading us to, we must prepare ourselves that new land or a place to call home is not the end goal. A future promised land can be a place of stability and new possibilities. But it must not become a place of complacency. The nomadic season prepares us to know that even the promised land is not really ours. It is God’s. And it is meant to serve God’s vision.
