Scripture is full of characters and moments where God calls and receives the answer, "Here I Am, Lord." From Abraham to Moses to Samuel to Isaiah to Mary, the examples abound of how God calls the people for a new task, a new dream, a new future. And we too, together and each in our own way have been called. Ours, like faithful people of old, is to say for our time, "Here I Am, Lord."
