Revive UMC Azle Announcements
Here's what's happening inour church and community.
See you Sunday!
Why Revive? New Sermon Series Starts Sunday - One question that Pastor Katie has been asking us during her first six months as pastor is, “Why Revive?”. Join us starting January 4 for a sermon series born from your answers to her question. Why has God called Revive to exist? What do we believe God is asking us to be and do in the world? This January, we will spend five weeks considering the five most common answers that you have given. We will kick off 2026 refocusing our attention on our purpose and recommitting ourselves to the BIG, beautiful call that God has placed on our hearts.
Casa Conversations: Gatherings to Hear about Revive 2026 - This January, we are ready to share our working vision including mission, priorities, values, and 2026 goals. Author Ken Willard defines a bridge event as “a local church intentionally hosting events as a way to cross the bridge from their church building into the mission field around them in order to invite people to come and engage with their ministry.” Ken will talk about some basics of a bridge event and walk through how to plan one for your community. https://htcumc.jotform.com/253244158815156
Winter Camp 2026 - February 20-22: 6th-12th graders, save the date for Winter Camp 2026 at Glen Lake Camp! It will be a great weekend of prayer, worship, fun, and friendship for our group! Please be in prayerful consideration if you’d like to serve with our wonderful youth this weekend.
Youth Hobby Sale Fundraiser - January 11: The youth are planning a fundraiser to raise money to cover registration fees for Winter Camp 2026 ($175 per camper). They will be creating and selling crafts, art, jewelry, baked goods, and host a silent auction after Sunday worship. Bring your cash to support our youth! Youth, start creating and let Kelsi know what you plan on selling and whether it will be for regular sale or the silent auction! If you plan on going to Winter Camp, you MUST participate in the fundraiser!
2025 GIVING UPDATE
We reached our giving goal for 2025! Thank you!!! Final numbers are still coming in but we're able to report that we received over $180,000 for the year. This means that we'll be able to receive the full $90,000 grant from the Horizon Texas Conference. We're in an OUTSTANDING place to start 2026 and pursue our big goals to reach new people, serve others, invest in children and youth, and grow our church. Thank you for every dollar you gave to God’s work through Revive. Revive is on the move!

In advance of that future effort, you are invited to prayerfully consider today what will fuel our future as the people called United Methodists here in this place. Your second-mile giving can help “seed” our building fund. Check out the big thermometer each week and place any offerings in the bowl beneath it. Our Building Seed has grown to $31,914.00 (12/31//25). See Dana Hollingsworth for more info.
