Horizon Texas Conference 2025 Stretch Grant: Last week it was announced at our Town Hall Meeting that our 2025 New Church Start Grant has a matching component. The Horizon Texas Conference will match every dollar given at 50% up to a $90,000 grant. That means that every $1 that is given to the general fund by us will actually be $1.50!
This is an amazing opportunity to begin dreaming bigger for God! For example, we'd love to hire a Children's Ministries Director who will reach out to area families.
As of Sunday, we’ve received $122,903 into our General Fund given by our congregation. Our goal to receive the full grant is $180,000 given by our congregation before the new year. Please prayerfully consider an additional stretch gift in 2025 or adding a percentage point to your regular giving so that Revive can expand our ministries and impact.
Charge Conference THIS SUNDAY Oct 26 at 3 pm: Revive will be hosting our District Superintendent for our annual Charge Conference at Lyle Lodge on October 26, 2025 at 3 pm. Charge Conference is the time we vote on a new roster of leaders, celebrate what God has done in 2025, and share goals for 2026. All are invited to come and celebrate the work of our church together.
Church Wide Community Scavenger Hunt Nov 16 at 3 pm: Let’s have fun!!! In honor of all we have been learning about the Holy Spirit and relating it to a wild goose, we will be having a scavenger hunt using the goose chase app. We will begin with the scavenger hunt and end with a whole group fellowship while sharing a light meal. This is a multigenerational event. Don’t miss out on the fun. Stay tuned for more details coming in the future.
Stop, Drop, and Pray - Thursdays at 10 am: Every week, Revive takes a few minutes to stop, drop, and pray! This is a 10 minute or less zoom call where a single leader leads us in a time of prayer over our community, our church and our world. Just drop in when you can so that we can be in consistent prayer for guidance and blessing from the Holy Spirit. Let’s Bless Cross Timbers: We have a goal of giving 140 rolls of paper towels to bless our teachers and take some things off their plate. So far, we’ve given 97. Let’s try to get the rest this Sunday!
Reaching Our Neighbors Masterclass: The Horizon Texas Conference is offering training on how to be proactive in welcoming our neighbors. There is an opportunity to attend online on Oct 30. Youth and Kids Trick or Treat Oct 31 at 6pm: If you know a youth or child who needs Halloween Trick or Treating plans, RSVP with Kelsi Bernsen to go trick-or-treating as a group around some of the newer developments in Azle! We will meet at 6pm at 626 S Stewart St Azle, TX and end at 8pm at Pastor Katie’s home for drinks and snacks! ALL attendees need at least one parent representative to accompany them for the night, and make sure costumes are church appropriate.

Wednesday Morning Bible Study: Adults meet to discuss the scripture for the upcoming Sunday morning sermon. Pastor Katie leads this lively and fun discussion. Azle Christian Church, 10 - 11 a.m.
Revive Community Night: Every Wednesday evening we meet at Azle Christian Church for dinner and activities for all ages! A light dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. Adult Bible Study, Youth Group, and Kids programming starts at 6 pm.
Crafting Ministries meets every third Tuesday at Jill DeMoss’s house (2033 Spinnaker Ln, Azle).
Community Caring Center Needs: Mac ‘n cheese, canned tuna, canned sups, instant mashed potatoes, rice, beans, cereal, and ramen are needed. Every first Sunday of the month is “Plastic Bag Day.” Thank you for your continued generosity and support!
Seed the Capital Campaign: In order for Revive to purchase property or a building, we’ll need to have a capital campaign. In advance of that future effort, you are invited to prayerfully consider today what will fuel our future as the people called United Methodists here in this place. Your second-mile giving can help “seed” our building fund. Check out the big thermometer eachweek and place any offerings in the bowl beneath it.
