GETTING TO KNOW REV. KATIE MEEK
There have been five Small Groups with Katie, and there is one scheduled in August. Those who have hosted feel the small groups have been a great way to get to know one another and get to know our hopes and dreams for Revive UMC.
Katie has held some one-on-one meetings and hopes to meet with everyone over the next year. Katie’s cell phone is 817-797-1515; her e-mail is katiemeek@reviveumcazle.org
If you have not completed the Revive United Methodist Church – Our Journey Survey, she urges every individual connected to Revive to complete the survey. Doug and I will re-send the link, we know the survey looks overwhelming - it has 7 questions over 2 pages, with 2 pages listing several values. Katie is grateful to those who took the time to complete them so far and the answers have given her some insight into what makes Revive UMC tick. Katie would like input from every family member – young, old, child, adult, spouse – so please take time to check your “spam folder”. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

REVIVE UMC FINANCIAL UPDATE
With the merging of three conferences into the new Horizon Texas Conference, an adjustment was made to the amount Revive UMC will receive this year from the Horizon Texas Conference. Our treasurer, Nancy Ashmore, has been working diligently with representatives at the Conference to learn about the new grant format. For 2025, the maximum grant we can receive from the Conference is $75,000.00; this number is less than what was budgeted for 2025 when we were part of the Central Texas Conference. We must increase our offering and income to over $227,000.00 this year to receive the full grant. As of June 30, 2025, we have received $31,407.00 from the Horizon Texas Conference. We have moved funds from our savings account to cover expenses from the first half of the year. If you have any questions, please contact either Nancy Ashmore or Christine Mochel.
January 2025 – June 2025:
Income Total: $118,812.35
Expense Total: $158,831.49
Income to Expense: ($40,019.14)
Total Bank (2 Banks) Balances: $153,382.61
HORIZON TEXAS CONFERENCE
The Horizon Texas Conference has three newsletters to which you can subscribe. They will come directly to your email. Many in our congregation start their day with “Notes for a New Day”. This newsletter begins with a Bible passage, moves to a reflection and prayer, and concludes with prayer requests for individuals serving in our conference. To subscribe, go to www.htcumc.org
